Embroidery Around the World and Through the Ages

By Debra F From the earliest times man has appreciated delicate and beautiful things. In fact, it is evidenced that as early as 3000 BC man began to decorate and embellish personal belongings using intricate needlework or embroidery. While today needlework is usually associated with the fairer of the sexes, needlework and embroidery were originally a man’s accomplishment. Many ancient cultures, both Eastern and Western, relegated these tasks to the men folk who had to study under a master as an apprentice for nearly a decade before being considered a master himself. Interestingly, embroidery evolved in different parts of the world at approximately the same time, but each area developed techniques that were unique to their culture and the materials they had access to. For example: Western Europe produced an embroidery technique called crewel which is still popular today. This type of embroidery uses two-ply wool stitching on linen twill to produce intricate artwork for bedcovers, wall hangings, chair coverings and draperies. Egyptians, on the other hand, practiced white embroidery using only white thread on a white canvas. These stitches were so detailed and intricate that few can mimic them today even with the added advantage of new technology and the use of embroidery machines. China perfected the amazing art of two-sided embroidery. Using fine silk, this embroidery is extremely intricate and can take years to complete. Through the years, talented embroiderers passed on their trade to the next generation, and each generation made the work a little more intricate, a little more detailed, and a little more elaborate. Take for instance the raised embroidery which evolved in the 16th century. Also called Elizabethan embroidery, this type of embroidery incorporates the use of wool, leather or wood padding to create three-dimensional motifs of butterflies, leaves and other decorative elements. Today, advanced technology such as computer software and high-tech sewing machines have made it possible for even the most inexperienced novice to create beautiful embroidery. While this may be the case, there are still those individuals that patiently ply their craft without the aid of modern technology. It is with these long-suffering and talented souls where one can find the true embroidered art of today’s age. The bottom line is that there are just some things that technology cannot produce as elegantly or as accurately as man, and the fine art of hand embroidery is one of them. By Debra F. Depression: One Woman’s Story

By Marsha Jordan Sharon was talking to a friend on the phone one night. When her friend asked, “How are you?” Sharon suddenly exploded with emotion. Without warning, she began sobbing and literally collapsed in a heap on the floor. Her friend came over and took Sharon’s kids for the night. Sharon cried for hours till she fell asleep. It was only the first of many sleepless nights. She cried every day for months, never knowing when she might break down. She didn’t need a reason. While driving to work in the morning, she would burst into tears. She worried about embarrassing herself, so she stayed home more and avoided people as much as she could. Isolating herself made her feelings of loneliness worse. “Nobody understands what I’m going through,” she told herself. She felt that her life was worthless because she could no longer function. She couldn’t sleep, eat, or focus on anything. She was irritable and couldn’t seem to get along with anyone anymore. She was disappointed and ashamed that she had let herself sink so low. She tried her best to pull herself out of this “funk.” But she felt stuck. She felt guilty because her family deserved better treatment than she was able to give them. She concluded that they would be better off without her. One day, while having an annual medical exam, Sharon’s doctor asked how things were at home. Sharon began crying uncontrollably. When her doctor suggested that she was suffering from clinical depression, Sharon was surprised. She should have known, but she didn’t. The doctor prescribed anti-depressants and made an appointment for Sharon to talk with a therapist. Sharon didn’t notice any improvement for a couple of weeks. It started slowly, but she gradually began to feel more peaceful and content. At this point, she was able to think more clearly and tackle small steps, one at a time, to work toward taking charge of her mental health. As Sharon took better care of herself, she grew stronger, which helped her to continue on the path to wellness. When she met with her doctor for a six week follow up, she told him, “I just wish I had sought help earlier. I could have avoided so much pain.” Author Marsha Jordan is founder of a nonprofit charity called Hugs and Hope for Sick Children (http://www.hugsandhope.org). More of her articles on depression are in her book, Hugs, Hope, and Peanut Butter, a compilation ofthought-provoking essays illustrated with drawings by critically ill children. Proceeds from book sales will benefit kids battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. In this book, the author combines hope with humor, drawing upon her own experience of living with chronic pain and depression for thirty years. She opens her life and her heart to share everyday experiences and the lessons God has taught her from them. Other essays in the book include, “Ten Tips For Beating Depression,” and “Why Doesn’t God Answer My Prayer?” Order the book or learn more at http://www.hugsandhope.org/book.htm Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Marsha_Jordan http://EzineArticles.com/?Depression:-One-Womans-Story&id=50002 online prescription ultram generic order ultram buy prescription ultram without without prescription tramadol online

The Essence of Kaizen and Its Role in Operations

By Verena Veneeva The present article discusses the notion of kaizen and its role as the integral part of TQM philosophy. The major points of interests are the core of the kaizen philosophy and what can be learnt from it, implementation requirements and the importance of corporate culture as one of the most important determinant of successful integration of kaizen (Papers4you.com, 2006). According to Imai (1997) kaizen is the philosophy of incremental continuous improvement with involvement of everyone. At first glance everything is pretty clear and simple what you need to do is to improve the processes around to make things more efficient. However the first barrier which appear on the way to improvement are few questions: what to improve, why to improve, who shall improve, where to improve, how far to improve, far how much it will cost. All these questions are answered by kaizen. This philosophy stresses the high importance of working environment as the actual place of improvement and the source of information regarding improvement areas (Imai calls is gemba). Everything what creates wastes of resources time, emotions, financial resources, raw materials, unnecessary steps might be improved (muda elimination Imai (1997). The real life advantages of this approach were observed by Shigeo and Dillon (1989) with the case of Toyota Motor Corporation. The company sought to maximize the waste elimination and error-free production by introducing real time alert system on the operations level. This system allowed ground floor employees to stop the production line if problems occurred (Papers4you.com, 2006). The major message of Imai about kaizen is that continuous improvements cost nothing but might significantly improve the overall process. However, prior to rushing to improving found drawbacks an individual shall evaluate the consequences of change as well as the degree of its urgency and its usefulness for the work process. One of the main questions which arise is why various firms have not yet benefited from integrating kaizen. In practice, certain organisations restrain the capability of employees to amend the set operational procedures. The set organisational culture prevents ground floor employees from involvement in decision making what becomes one of the major obstacles. As the result people do not feel being involved or important and are not ready to seek the improvements. As the result the principle of kaizen involving everyone can not be matched. Various analysts warn against blind use of kaizen as the blueprint for an organisation to become competitive and successful. Thus, Peters (1997) and Hammer & Stanton (1996) claim that under certain conditions continuous improvement is useless, unless the whole process is radically changed. As Hammer & Stanton (1996) put it unless we change the outdated rules and the fundamental assumptions that underline operations, we are merely rearranging the deck chair on the Titanic References Hammer M. & Stanton S. The Basics of Maintaining Your Corporation

By Gregory Cartwright While many of our clients have formed corporations, some are not aware of the basic requirements which must be met in order to properly maintain the corporation. This article is intended to point out some of these requirements and is intended for a general audience, applies to corporations organized in California, and does not constitute legal advice. As with all legal matters, you should check with an attorney concerning your particular situation. Employer Identification Number Every corporation filing a state or federal tax or informational return must have an employer identification number (an EIN) An EIN is your company’s “social security number” and it is used by banks and other companies as an identification number. The EIN is usually applied for by the attorney who incorporate the business, the companys accountant or its payroll company. Bank Accounts The corporation must have its own bank account into which all income must be deposited and expenses paid. The checks should be printed with the full corporate name and any trade name it is using. To open this account you usually only need a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and your EIN. Since the passing of the Patriot Act, there are additional regulations which may require the bank to request additional information or documents. If your bank needs something else, such as a Secretarys Certificate or similar document, your attorney can draft this for you. Piercing The Corporate Veil and Alter Ego Liability The corporate structure will generally protect the assets of the shareholders from the liabilities and debts of the corporation. However, this is so, only where the corporation is treated like a separate entity (distinct from its owners) and observes the corporate formalities required by law. If you fail to do so, a creditor may be able to ignore the corporation and pursue the individual shareholders assets in order to satisfy the debts and obligations of the corporation. We call this piercing the corporate veil. When the corporate veil is pierced or disregarded, then the shareholders are saddled with the liability for its debts and obligations. This type of liability is routinely called alter ego liability. In other words, the law will impose liability against the shareholders because there is no separateness between them and the corporation. Obviously, this would be a bad result for the shareholders. In order to avoid these negative consequences, the corporation should keep in mind the following points. 1. Corporate Records It is important that you maintain your corporate records in a professional manner, and in way which complies with the California Corporations Code. Failure to do so is one of the key factors courts will look to when considering whether or not to pierce the corporate veil. Specifically, the corporation is required to hold annual meetings of the shareholders and annual meetings of the Board of Directors. These can be actual meetings with the required quorum, or they can be held on paper. What this means is that a document called a Unanimous Written Consent in Lieu of Meeting is drafted and executed by all persons who are required to be at that meeting. Additionally, any extraordinary transactions must similarly be documented, and would be done so at a Special Meeting of the shareholders or directors (depending upon the specific facts of each transaction). Once these meetings are held the minutes or written consents should be placed into the appropriate place in your corporate book, and maintained there for the life of the corporation. 2. Adequate Capitalization The shareholders must invest in the company an adequate amount of capital for the nature of the companys business. They cannot simply lend the company the money. In the case where the company is not adequately capitalized, a court may permit a creditor to look through the company and hold the owners liable for the companys obligation. Courts have held that inadequately capitalized companies can be considered to be shams. 3. Maintaining Corporate Identity In addition to the issues discussed above, there are a number of steps which you should take to preserve the corporations identity separate from its owners. These include: not using the corporations assets as if they were the assets of the shareholders; executing documents as an officer of the corporation (eg, President or Secretary); placing the corporations income into the corporations account; not commingling the personal assets of the shareholders with the corporations assets; and using the full name of the company, including the designation Inc. The Annual Obligations Clients often ask what needs to be done annually to maintain their corporation. In addition to the annual meeting of shareholders and annual meeting of directors discussed above, a corporation is required to file tax returns with both the State and Federal governments. Also, the Secretary of State will send to you a Statement of Information form which needs to be completed and mailed in. The first such statement is usually filed by the incorporating attorney as part of the incorporation process. Please bear in mind that the foregoing is not an exhaustive list of everything you need to know about a corporations duties. It is intended to answer the questions my clients have most often posed to me. However, by following these guidelines, you will be well on your way to ensuring that the corporation both complies with the law and will withstand an attack by creditors seeking to pierce the corporate veil. Wedding Pictures - A Must Read if you Entrust Them to Uncle George

By Antony Wilton A friend of mine asked me for advice on how he could take the pictures at a relatives wedding to save money. I reminded him that wedding pictures will last a lifetime, and every minute of that special day must be captured in great detail. Consequently, I would not recommend anything other than a professional photographer, but if finance is tight, following this proven outline should lead to a collection of “treasured memories” Initially, I would recommend close ups of centerpieces and the place settings, name cards and menus. This can be followed up with wide shots of the venue before guests arrive and of course an overall view of the guests seated. The bride and groom’s first dance is essential, plus the happy couple dancing with their parents. Photos of the bridal party dancing always prove popular and guests dancing in happy situations are other important subjects Close ups of the cake prior to the cutting should not be overlooked and remember to show the bride displaying her new ring to the guests. Photographs of the toasts to the couple will always be treasured memories. Remember to show close ups of happy smiling faces. Include close ups of guests’ faces, having a great time. These are best taken later in the evening …after they have loosened up a little. remember to depict varying situations both sitting at tables and dancing Family members and children also make great subjects together with close ups of the band, DJ and the Master of Ceremonies. The bride and groom cutting the cake is always a highlight so take plenty of shots covering this situation. Traditions vary from country to country with removal of the brides garter by the single males and the catching of the bouquet by the single ladies being two that I am familiar with. Whatever tradition is prevelant in your country, make sure it is included in your photographs. Final shots should be of the couple being farewelled by guests and of course departing in their vehicle. Remember, you only get one chance at these situations so take plenty of photographs and you are sure to gather a great collection of treasured memories. Let’s Kill Obesity-Let’s Find Alternatives To Diet Pills

By Chris Read The medical world created quite a stir when the magic of diet pills intervened and successfully reported 5 to 10% of body weight loss! These pills though considered phenomenal in the weight reduction program yet they are meant only for short term usage and are used in conjunction with diet restriction and exercise. In all, prescription diet pills are not stand alones in weight loss management and to understand their basic nature we will have to study the basic nature of anorectic drugs. Let’s take the case of Bontril as popularly known! What is Bontril? * Bontril is a sympathomimetic amine class of drugs much like amphetamines. It is also known as “anorectic” or “anorexigenic” drugn stimulating the central nervous system (nerves and the brain) which increases the blood pressure and heart rate, thereby, causing a decrease in the appetite. * Bontril diet pills are used only for short term and are recommended or prescribed by a doctor along with balanced food and exercise. * Bontril cannot be taken by people with certain health conditions. They are: Heart disease High blood pressure Arteriosclerosis Glaucoma Thyroid problems Diabetes Anxiety disorders Seizures or epilepsy Pregnant women Breast-feeding mothers Drug or alcohol abuse * This medicine is also not suited for people taking certain medicines like monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) group of medicines like isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14 days. * The side effects of Bontril diet pills may vary from normal to severe, depending on the effect of the medicine on the body and follow-up with the doctor to check the progress of the pill on the body and weight loss. Tolerance to this medicine must be avoided at all costs as this might trigger the severe health risks to the body. The side effects could be: Dizziness Restlessness Blurred vision Chest pains Gastrointestinal troubles etc. Precautionary measures Bontril or phendimetrazine tablets are taken only if the doctor has given a clear certificate on the health check up. Usually health risks that are associated with this class of drugs can be avoided if the following precautions are followed. Always consult your doctor before taking weight loss pills. Ask about health risks. Follow instructions, do not overdose. The health risks of overdosing on weight loss pills can be severe. While taking the pills, maintain contact with your doctor. Describe any side-effects. Unless advised by your doctor, do not take any weight loss pills for longer than a few weeks. The health risks of weight loss pills increase with length of use. When buying over-the-counter weight loss medications, check with your pharmacist that the pills do not clash with other medications. Since certain diet pills contain similar active ingredients to (e.g. decongestants, cough medicine), combining certain medications with weight loss pills carries health risks of accidental overdosing. Conclusion Drug therapy in weight loss program is always used along with exercise regimen and diet control. It is an ongoing struggle and therefore used only in extreme cases of obesity with a BMI over 30. There is no magic in reaching ideal or dream weight and these exist only in utopian fantasy! The only way of dealing with obesity is having a strong support system to help one fight the battle with patience and sincerity. Marketing Trust

By Tarsha Polk I was recently asked, How do I market my business which is based on the client’s trust in me, rather than selling a service? This is a concern of many service-based companies that do not have a tangible product. These companies have to gain the trust of potential customers first before converting them to paying clients. Trust cant be faked so the message you are sending must be sincere. Just like with anyone, trust has to be earned. To earn the trust of potential clients, you must focus on building your creditability. Creditability in your client eyes may be that they feel you know what you are talking about, that you represent a reputable firm, and that you have demonstrated your knowledge or experience. Trust is also established by building relationships. It may take a few conversations before that person will warm up to you. Having past customers vouch for you is very important to establishing trust. Have you seen commercials where actual customers talk about their experience with a product or service? This is that companys way to creating trust because you hear from real people and not some clever ad trying to persuade you to buy. So if you market your creditability and communicate how your expertise will benefit them, your potential client is more willing to take a risk and engage in learning how your services will help them. Tips: Use testimonials or case studies from past clients to demonstrate how you’ve helped people. If you represent a well established firm, market the firms history and accomplishments in helping people like you want to serve. State facts and statistics in your marketing messages that are relevant to your target audience. Create your own unique selling statement that separates you from competitors. Work on developing deeper relationship with potential referral partners. Word of mouth advertising is very powerful. Launch a word of mouth campaign by requesting that your current and past clients tell at least 3 people about their experience with you. Lastly, read the book by Stephen Covey on the Speed of Trust. It talks about traits of highly trusted leaders and how to create trust in the relationships you have. The Marketing Lady is a small business marketing coach and consultant. Recipe for Peace

By Vivian Gordon There really is a foolproof recipe for true inner peace. It really is simple if you are one who is determined to use it the way it is directed. It doesn’t cost money, you don’t have to have an insurance plan in order to get it. On the contrary, if you persue this foolproof plan for peace, you will attain the ulitimate insurance plan for life. God who is the Creator of everything, has this plan laid out for all who are willing to receive it. He guarantees it’s success in bringing peace into your life. But, there are some requirements that are expected of you in order to activate it. God is not a God that makes our lives more complicated. We are the only ones who are to blame for that. God has lined out a very simple peace plan, in fact it’s so simple, you could say it’s as simple as your A,B,C’s! Face it, if you don’t have peace within your soul, you are living a life of torment. The odds of that happening are practically 10 to 1. I would say that if you have no trials in your life, you aren’t living. You would be an exception if your life was just cruising at a constant pace. But, God knows this is not the norm for His children and so for all those who want His perfect peace, He laid down this perfect recipe. God loves us with an undying love, and He wants us to have His peace in order to serve Him better while we are still aliens in this world. So, here it is, very simple, very basic and is guaranteed to work for all who use it the way He intended. A is for ABIDE Abide means to live, dwell in something. It’s home and home is where the heart is. Jesus said, “IF…you keep My commandments (if you continue to obey My instructions), you WILL abide in My love and live on it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on His love.” (Jn.15:10). Jesus represents love and peace, and He instructs us to abide in Him in order that we can obtain these things from Him. The apostle John says, “But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him ABIDES (permanently) in you; (so) then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must ABIDE in (live in, never depart from) Him, (being rooted in Him, knit to Him), just as (His anointing) has taught you to do.”(1 Jn.2:27). John even goes on to say that to ABIDE in Him is to live by truth. Living by truth brings peace, there is no more condemnation. John also writes (vs.28) that to ABIDE in Him is to have and enjoy perfect confidence (boldness, assurance) and we will not shrink and be ashamed from Him at His coming. Again he tells us in (1 Jn. 3:6) that anyone who ABIDES in Him can NOT deliberately, knowingly, or habitually commit sin. Sin is what keeps us from knowing the perfect peace that God has for us in the first place. So when you ABIDE in Christ, you will be at peace from sin! This is to have the nature of God, which is perfect peace. Simple so far? B is for BELIEVE Once we can abide, we will also have the belief in Christ. This to credit or to expect with confidence. After all, BELIEVING is the main theme behind God’s Word. Many miracles were performed for those who believed. Jesus Himself said, “All things are possible to him who BELIEVES.” (Mk. 9:23) Jesus said “ALL” things, not just a few things would be possible. ALL encompasses just that…EVERYTHING that there is. What does it leave out? Nothing! Again God made this promise, “that to as many as received and welcomed Him, He gave aurthority (power, privilege, right) to become children of God, that is, to those who BELIEVE in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) His name.” (Jn. 1:12). I don’t know about you, but this brings a great peace to my soul just knowing that I am a child of God’s, the God of Peace! If this hasn’t gotten your attention yet, then how about this. By believing in His name, you will never perish, but will have everlasting life! God says we will live forever with Him in His kingdom, (Jn. 3:15). This is truly a main ingredient for peace, to know that we will never die, that our lives will live on in another realm with God Almighty. The Bible is full of these promises from God to those who are willing to BELIEVE in His Son for attaining eternal peace and everlasging life. C is for CHRIST This is the last ingredient. Actually the first and the last. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Rock, the Savior, The Comforter and Friend. These names alone should bring you great peace. Christ alone is the reason we can ABIDE and BELIEVE in the first place. He is the reason for our salvation, which spells out peace to perfection. Christ in His own words tells us that even the person who offers us a cup to drink because we bear the name and belong to Him will be rewarded. (Mk. 9:41) Here’s the best assurance of all. Paul said “Therefore, (there is) now no condemnation (no judging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live (and) walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.” (Rom. 8:1). Just knowing that Christ will not bring us condemnation of judgement. This should be adding a great peace to you right now. Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24) We are Christ’s just as Christ is God’s (1 Cor.3:23). In fact, the Bible says that we are INgrafted in Christ (which is receiving from Him) and we are now “new creatures” altogether. (2 Cor. 5:17) This is a fresh and new way which has come. The things that hold us back from peace is hanging onto our old things; such as contempt, sin, pride, stubborness of unforgiveness. All the things that won’t leave us alone to ABIDE and BELIEVE in CHRIST. But when we can do these things, He washes us clean as snow. You have to admit that there is something magical and pure about a first snowfall. We describe it as pristine, pure and clean. We reflect that pristine innocence and beauty when Christ is done cleaning up our act. To sum this all up is as Paul stated; “May Christ through your faith (actually) dwell (settle down, abide, make His home permanent) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love.” (Eph. 3:17) When we ABIDE, BELIEVE in CHRIST, making Him our permanent residency, (remember; home is where the heart is) we will be rooted and sercurely grounded in His Peace! Perfect love, truth, peace is having freedom from sin and death. It’s having God’s power and wisdom which spells relief for PEACE. Now we know our A,B,C’s!!! Christ invites all to come to Him for eternal life and peace in this life. If you don’t know Him today, ask Him to come into your heart and confess your sins to Him. He loves you so much that He died for them. When you exchange those sins for His peace, you will know that He is worthy to be praised. He will be your everlasting JOY, PEACE, COMFORT, TRUTH, and LOVE in a world where sin is running rampant. He is all you need. Just ask, listen and receive, it’s there for the taking! In order to know PEACE, you must first know God. Vivian Gordon writes inspirational and spiritual articles in which to help strengthen the Believer’s walk in Christ. They are often taken from today’s point of view and used in conjunction with what God says about certain situations and how we are to handle them. There is always an answer for every problem. These articles are not all about asking God “why?” but in finding the answers. How to Nurture Love and Relationship

By Fritz Blanc Can you find love love without relationship or relationship without love? It all boils down to what you are looking for, or what you are ready to give. You have to be willing to nurture love. You have to be willing to nurture relationship. As the saying goes, do unto others as you’d like done unto you. If we take a deeper look inside love and relationship, we can see that there are a few components or rules of engagements, if you prefer, that one has to follow in order to have lasting and enjoyable love and relationship. Laying the foundation is a must in order to have a long-lasting relationship. After that, we can look at compatibility or incompatibility, good communication, hability to share, etc. What is the definition of a good relationship? It is one based on trust, love, and faith, self-control and sharing. When one partner is giving more than the other one, this is not love. One is taking advantage of the other. When one partner trusts that his or her partner is faithful and trustworthy while the partner is out spreading it around like there is no tomorrow then someone is bound to get hurt. Friendship is commitment between two or more people, and often friends join in activities. Friendship should also be about having fun together, entertain one another, and good communication. True friends will go the extra mile for the sake of the relationship. Friends will not interfere with each others life, unless the friend sees the need to address an issue that is causing the friend harm, or about to cause him/her harm. Friends that develop into serious intimate relationships, often work through somekind of arrangement regardless of the storms laid before them. Friendship before intimacy is the way to go, since the two have an overview of the others behaviors, habits, personality, skills, et cetera. Mistakes are a part of life, and we should all learn from our mistakes. When a person learns from their mistakes, it illustrates loyalty and commitment. Mistakes made in relationship can help us appreciate humanity, love as well as life itself. A good relationships include giving and taking. When one partner is giving more than the other is, the result of that will be failure. Giving includes intimacy, caring, sharing, understanding et cetera. When two people share they are giving the best of each other, thus the relationship often leads to love. Giving is one of the elements that compose love. Love is the ultimate of it all. When You Feel More Than Friendship - What To Do When Your Feelings Are At A Crossroads

By Mimi Tanner What about that guy in your everyday life who is almost like a brother to you - or is he? You may have laughed with him, gone on trips with him, and confided in him for months - maybe even years! Sometimes a strange thing can happen. You might start feeling nervous around the person for reasons you can’t explain. You might start fussing about your appearance when you know you’re going to be seeing that person. It might dawn on you that your attachment is growing at an alarming rate. Then one day you find that you start feeling an odd sense of jealousy when he tells you about his girlfriends. That’s when it hits you - you want more than friendship!! What should you do? What if you tell him, and this messes up your treasured friendship that means so much to you? What would YOU do? Grab him for an unexpected kiss at the right moment? Maybe… that sounds like the most fun option. Send a card? NO! Definitely not! It might be best to move away from the friendship somewhat, and start getting interested in other people and activities as well. You’ll end up meeting people you wouldn’t have otherwise met, and you’ll have some perspective. The most challenging and risky move is to tell your friend how you truly feel. Your decision is affected by several factors: 1. Whether or not he is already involved with someone else! 2. How likely you think it is that he will return your feelings 3. How secure you feel in the friendship: that even if he does not return your feelings, the friendship will not be destroyed by your admission. Try to be honest with yourself. That does NOT mean that you have to spill your guts - no law says that this is what “honesty” means. It’s perfectly okay to keep things to yourself. Just try to be honest with yourself. Some things are better left unsaid. Sometimes it’s wise to “wait and see.” Your friend will feel that “something in the air” if it’s there for him as well. If it’s meant to be, it will happen. Not that you can’t help things along… but gently. ===================== Yes, it’s true - I did witness two grown men staring daggers at each other in public all because of me… Every woman should have that happen once in her life. (More than that would be hazardous to your health.) Find out why it happened at www.secrets-of-flirting.com Mimi Tanner reveals the secrets of getting the attention and devotion of your man.
